Frequently Asked Questions

What is an APIC frame?

APIC (Attached Picture) is an ID3v2 tag frame used to embed images inside MP3 files. The most common use is storing album cover art that music players display during playback.

What image formats are supported?

You can embed JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF images. JPEG is the most widely supported format across music players. For best compatibility, use a square JPEG image at 500x500 or 1000x1000 pixels.

Is my data private?

Yes. All processing happens entirely in your browser. Your MP3 and image files are never uploaded to any server. The embedded file is generated locally using JavaScript.

Will this replace existing artwork?

Yes. Embedding a new cover image will replace any existing artwork in the MP3 file. If the file already has artwork, you will see a preview of the current cover before replacing it.
