Frequently Asked Questions
What lyrics can be extracted from FLAC files?
This tool reads lyrics stored in FLAC Vorbis comment tags. It looks for the LRC tag (synchronized lyrics with timestamps) and the LYRICS tag (plain text). If an LRC tag is found, the synchronized lyrics are displayed in standard LRC format.
What are Vorbis comments?
Vorbis comments are the standard metadata format used by FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, and other open audio formats. They store key-value pairs like TITLE, ARTIST, ALBUM, and can also hold lyrics. Unlike MP3's ID3 tags, Vorbis comments use simple UTF-8 strings, making them easy to read and write.
What if my FLAC has no embedded lyrics?
If no LYRICS or LRC Vorbis comment tags are found, you'll see a "No embedded lyrics found" message. You can use our Embed Lyrics into FLAC tool to add lyrics to your file, or use the LRC Generator to create synchronized lyrics from audio.
